Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Pick the terms that apply to you — as a player, or as a venue.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the PrecisionR application (the App) as a Player, you agree to these Player Terms of Service.
These Terms apply in addition to any mandatory rights you have under UK and EU consumer protection laws.
2. Description of the Service
PrecisionR is a marketplace platform that enables Players to discover, book, and pay for tennis racket restringing services offered by independent venues and stringers, and to buy and sell tennis equipment through the in-App Marketplace.
PrecisionR:
- Provides the App and payment infrastructure
- Does not itself perform restringing services unless expressly stated in the App
- Is not a party to the underlying service contract between the Player and the selected venue, or the sale contract between a Marketplace buyer and seller
When you place a booking, your contract for the restringing service is directly with the selected venue. When you buy or sell through the Marketplace, your contract is directly with the other party to that transaction.
3. Eligibility and Player Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum legal age required in your country, to use the App.
You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us of unauthorised use of your account.
4. Bookings and Service Contracts
a. Booking Requests
Placing a booking through the App constitutes an offer to contract with the selected venue. The venue is responsible for accepting and performing the service.
b. Service Standards
Under UK and EU law, venues must perform services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the description shown in the App.
5. In-App Payments
a. Payment Processing
Payments are made directly in the App using approved payment providers or app-store payment systems.
By completing a payment, you authorise the amount shown at checkout, including any applicable taxes or platform fees. For racket orders, PrecisionR places a payment authorisation hold at checkout instead of capturing funds immediately.
For racket orders, payment may be captured when either 24 hours have passed from booking or the venue marks your racket as received, whichever happens first.
b. Service Fee
A small service fee is applied to each order placed through the platform by customers (Players). The service fee is currently GBP 1.00 per transaction.
This fee helps us operate and improve the platform, including payment processing, order handling, and customer support.
The service fee is shown at checkout and is added on top of the price set by the selected shop.
The service fee is non-refundable unless required by law or if the entire order is cancelled and fully refunded before it has been completed.
We may update the service fee from time to time. If this happens, the new fee will only apply to orders placed after the change takes effect.
6. Cancellation and Refund Summary
Your key rights
For racket orders, you can cancel free of charge before payment is captured. If payment has only been authorised, we will release the authorisation hold instead of issuing a refund.
Once payment has been captured, you may not have a right to cancel simply because you changed your mind, but you still have legal rights if the service is faulty.
If a venue cancels an accepted order, you will receive a full refund where payment has already been captured, or the payment authorisation will be released where payment has not yet been captured.
Under UK/EU consumer law, you may be entitled to a refund or price reduction if:
- The service is not provided with reasonable care and skill
- The service does not match its description
This summary does not replace your statutory rights.
7. Marketplace Buying
PrecisionR operates a marketplace where Players and venues may list tennis equipment for sale ("Marketplace Listings"). When you buy a Marketplace Listing, your purchase contract is with the seller (the Player or venue who created the listing), not with PrecisionR. PrecisionR provides the listing, payment, and order-tracking infrastructure only.
a. Payment and fees
At checkout you authorise the listed price plus a service fee currently equal to 7% of the listing price (or 10% where the listing is sold by a registered venue business) plus a flat GBP 1.00 service fee. Where the seller offers delivery, the delivery charge shown is set by the seller and is passed to them in full. Payment is authorised, not captured, at checkout; PrecisionR captures payment only once the seller confirms shipment, or your order is otherwise completed.
b. Seller obligations and your protection
The seller is responsible for accurately describing the item's condition and for dispatching it within the timeframe shown in the App. If the seller does not confirm shipment in time, your order is automatically cancelled and your payment authorisation is released — you are not charged. Once a seller marks an order shipped, your funds remain held for a buyer-protection period before the seller is paid, during which you may raise a dispute through the App or our support channels if the item is not as described, not received, or materially faulty.
c. Cancellation
You may cancel an order free of charge at any time before the seller confirms shipment. Once payment has been captured, cancellation is not guaranteed and is handled as a dispute or return in accordance with this section and your statutory consumer rights.
d. Exclusive listings
Some listings are visible only to specific Players invited by the seller ("Exclusive Listings"). Exclusive Listings are still subject to all terms in this section.
e. Item condition and prohibited items
You agree not to list, attempt to buy, or request items that are counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or unlawful to sell. PrecisionR may remove any listing or cancel any order that appears to breach this paragraph.
f. Service fees on disputes
Where a dispute is resolved in your favour and a refund is issued, the item price and any delivery charge will be refunded; the service fee may be retained by PrecisionR to cover payment processing and dispute-handling costs already incurred, except where retention would be unlawful.
g. Delivery and tracking
You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address at checkout, either by selecting a saved address from your address book or entering one for that order. The seller is responsible for dispatching the item to the address you provide and must enter a tracking reference in the App before the order can be marked shipped — a seller cannot confirm shipment without one. PrecisionR facilitates delivery through this tracking requirement and the dispute process above, but does not itself courier, insure, or take possession of items in transit, and is not liable for loss or damage in transit beyond that process.
8. Independent Service Providers
Venues and stringers listed in the App are independent service providers, not employees, agents, or representatives of PrecisionR.
- PrecisionR does not supervise how services are performed
- PrecisionR is not responsible for materials, workmanship, or service outcomes
- Any service-related dispute is primarily between you and the venue, although we may provide support tools through the App
9. Player Responsibilities
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Misrepresent racket condition, setup requirements, or delivery status
- Harass, abuse, or threaten venue staff or other users
- Use the App for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
10. User Content, Text Moderation, and Image Uploads
Text you submit through the App, including Marketplace Listing text, messages, reviews, support tickets, booking notes, and other free-text fields, may be screened using rule-based checks and Google Gemini before it is posted, sent, or saved. We may reject, block, remove, or flag content that appears abusive, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, spammy, fraudulent, designed to move payments or contact off-platform, or otherwise unsafe or unlawful.
When you upload a photo — for your profile avatar, a racket photo, or a Marketplace Listing — you confirm that you own or have the right to use the image, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Every image you upload is automatically reviewed by an automated content-screening system (currently using Google Cloud Vision's safe-search and content-detection technology) before it becomes visible to other users. Images are rejected automatically if they appear to contain sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content, or — for racket photos and Marketplace Listing photos specifically — if they do not appear to depict tennis equipment. Rejected images are deleted and never made visible to other users.
Automated screening decisions are currently final. If you believe an image was rejected in error, you may contact support, but you do not have a guaranteed right to a manual review or to have a rejection overturned.
By uploading or submitting content, you grant PrecisionR a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating the App, including automated text and image moderation.
11. App Availability
We aim to keep the App available and functioning correctly but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update or modify the App to improve functionality or comply with legal requirements.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
Subject to this:
- We are not liable for services performed by venues or stringers, or for items sold by other users through the Marketplace
- We are not liable for damage to rackets caused during the performance of the service by a venue
- Our liability for foreseeable losses relating to the App itself is limited to the amount you paid to us through the App in the previous 12 months
13. Intellectual Property
All content, software, branding, and designs within the App are owned by or licensed to PrecisionR. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
14. Termination
We, and Dynamytheon Limited (company number 17256365) as the company that owns and operates PrecisionR, may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to the App — with or without prior notice where we reasonably believe notice would frustrate the purpose of the suspension (for example, in cases of fraud or safety risk) — if you breach these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or applicable law, including by uploading prohibited content, listing prohibited items, or misusing the Marketplace. Where required by law, we will provide notice and reasons for the action taken. You may contact us to appeal a suspension or termination decision.
15. Privacy and Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes materially affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you where practicable and require review and acceptance before continuing to use the App.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- UK users: laws of England and Wales
- EU users: laws of your country of residence
You may bring legal proceedings in your local courts.

termsandprivacy@precisionr.app1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering, managing a listing, accepting orders, or otherwise using the App as a venue, shop, or stringer business, you agree to these Venue Terms of Service.
2. Platform Role
PrecisionR provides a marketplace and payment infrastructure that helps venues receive and manage player orders, and sell equipment to Players through the in-App Marketplace. Unless expressly stated otherwise, PrecisionR is not the provider of the restringing service or the Marketplace items themselves.
- The service contract for each accepted order, and the sale contract for each Marketplace transaction, is between the venue and the Player
- The venue is responsible for fulfilling the booked service or dispatching the sold item
- PrecisionR may provide workflow, support, messaging, and payment tools but does not control the venue's workmanship or the condition of items it sells
3. Eligibility and Venue Accounts
You represent that you have authority to act for the venue or business account and to bind that business to these Terms.
You must keep account credentials, connected payment account details, and staff permissions accurate and secure.
4. Listings, Pricing, and Availability
You are responsible for ensuring that your venue profile, service descriptions, turnaround times, prices, inventory, and availability are accurate and kept up to date.
- Prices shown to Players must be accurate at the time an order is placed
- Service descriptions must not be misleading
- Inventory and staff availability should be maintained so accepted orders can be fulfilled as described
5. Orders, Acceptance, and Fulfilment
When a Player places an order, the venue is responsible for reviewing, accepting where appropriate, and fulfilling the service in a timely and professional manner.
- Accepted orders should be fulfilled with reasonable care and skill
- Order progress updates entered into the App must be accurate
- Venue staff must not mark operational steps as completed unless they have actually occurred
6. Payments, Payouts, and Fees
PrecisionR may process player payments, authorisation holds, captures, refunds, transfers, or payout workflows through approved payment providers.
You are responsible for maintaining any required connected payment account and for complying with the terms of the relevant payment provider.
Fees, payment processing costs, chargeback costs, or cancellation-related charges that apply to a venue will be disclosed through the App, onboarding, pricing schedule, or separate commercial materials.
7. Refunds, Cancellations, and Chargebacks
If a venue cancels an accepted order, fails to provide the booked service, or causes a refund event through its own actions or omissions, the venue may remain responsible for applicable processing fees, platform fees, refund-related costs, or chargeback losses to the extent permitted by law and by the payment provider arrangements.
The venue must cooperate with reasonable refund, complaint, or dispute investigations relating to its orders.
8. Marketplace Selling
Venues may list equipment for sale to Players through the Marketplace. A buyer's payment is held on authorisation and captured only once you confirm shipment, currently within 3 days of the order being placed — orders not shipped within this window are automatically cancelled and the buyer's payment is released.
Once you confirm shipment, the captured funds (less the applicable service fee — currently 10% of the sale price for venue/business sellers, plus a flat GBP 1.00 buyer-side fee that does not reduce your payout) are held for a buyer-protection period of 7 days before being released to your connected payment account. PrecisionR may delay or reverse a payout, including via a refund to the buyer with funds reclaimed from your account, where a dispute is upheld in the buyer's favour.
You are responsible for the accuracy of item descriptions, condition, photographs, and stock availability for every Marketplace Listing, and for dispatching items promptly and as described. You agree not to list counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, or unlawful items.
Marketplace Listing text, buyer or seller messages, and related free-text content may be screened using rule-based checks and Google Gemini before being posted, sent, or saved. PrecisionR may reject, block, remove, or flag content that appears abusive, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, spammy, fraudulent, designed to move payments or contact off-platform, or otherwise unsafe or unlawful.
Listing photographs you upload are automatically screened by an AI content-moderation system before publication; see Section 11 (Venue Content and Data Accuracy) and our Privacy Policy for details. PrecisionR may remove a listing, withhold payout, or take other action under Section 14 if a listing or transaction breaches this section.
Delivery and tracking
You must dispatch the item to the delivery address the buyer provides at checkout and enter a tracking reference in the App to confirm shipment — you cannot mark an order shipped without one. You are responsible for shipping the item safely and promptly using that tracking reference; PrecisionR does not itself courier, insure, or take possession of items in transit, and is not liable for loss or damage in transit beyond the dispute process described above.
9. Venue Service Standards and Conduct
You agree to:
- Treat Players fairly, lawfully, and professionally
- Perform services with reasonable care and skill
- Use suitable materials and follow the service description presented in the App
- Communicate honestly about delays, stock issues, or fulfilment problems
- Avoid abusive, discriminatory, misleading, or fraudulent conduct
10. Compliance, Taxes, and Business Responsibility
You are responsible for your business operations, tax obligations, invoicing obligations, employment arrangements, health and safety obligations, and compliance with any laws applicable to your services and business.
11. Venue Content and Data Accuracy
You are responsible for content, pricing, images, stock information, and other materials you upload or publish through the App.
By uploading venue content, you grant PrecisionR a non-exclusive licence to host, display, reproduce, and use that content for platform operation, support, moderation, promotion of your listing within the App, and related service administration.
Automated text screening
Venue names, listing titles and descriptions, support replies, buyer messages, special-order notes, and other free-text venue content may be automatically screened using rule-based checks and Google Gemini for safety, fraud prevention, and policy enforcement. Content may be rejected, removed, or flagged for review before it is visible or sent.
Automated image screening
All images uploaded for venue listings, including Marketplace Listing photos and your venue's background image, are automatically screened by an AI content-moderation system (currently Google Cloud Vision) before becoming visible to Players. Images that fail this screening are rejected and deleted, and the listing or profile section concerned cannot be published until a compliant image is provided.
12. App Availability and Platform Changes
We aim to keep the App available and functioning correctly but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update workflows, features, or integrations to improve functionality, reduce fraud risk, or comply with law.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.
Subject to this:
- The venue remains responsible for the services it performs and the items it sells, and for its staff, contractors, materials, and service outcomes
- PrecisionR is not liable for the venue's workmanship, service delivery failures, item condition, or business losses arising from the venue's own operations
- Our liability for foreseeable losses relating to the App itself is limited to the amount paid by the venue to PrecisionR through the App in the previous 12 months, to the extent permitted by law
14. Suspension and Termination
We, and Dynamytheon Limited (company number 17256365) as the company that owns and operates PrecisionR, may suspend, restrict, or terminate a venue account, listing, payout, or access to particular features — with or without prior notice where notice would frustrate the purpose of the action — if the venue breaches these Terms, the Privacy Policy, creates legal or fraud risk, harms Players, misuses the Marketplace, uploads prohibited content, or fails to maintain required payment or compliance information. Where required by law, we will provide notice and reasons, and the venue may contact us to appeal the decision.
15. Privacy and Data Protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. Each venue remains responsible for its own compliance with applicable data protection obligations when handling Player information.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes materially affect venue rights or obligations, we will notify you where practicable and require review and acceptance before continued use where appropriate.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- UK venues: laws of England and Wales
- EU venues: mandatory local laws may also apply where required
You may bring legal proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
